Private Events

Church Street Cellars can accommodate up to 48 guests for private functions. It is ideal for a variety of gatherings, and we have the ability to offer special services for any private or corporate event, including wine tastings and seminars, audio-visual presentations, and more.

Party Policies and Information

Church Street Cellars is available for private and corporate events. Space rental is $325.00 an hour and a minimum tab of $2500.00 on non-essential day (Sunday or Monday) or $450.00 an hour and a minimum tab of $4500.00 (Friday or Saturday). In order to rent out the space to a private party, we must close to the public. Your rental fee will operate as a minimum tab: you will be served wine, beer, small plates and desserts from Church Street Cellars. If you do not use the entire tab, we will still charge the full amount. 50% is due with application. A security deposit of $400.00 must be made by the rent. It will be returned 48 hours after the event upon inspection of the venue by a staff member. Upon approval of the application, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. The balance of the rental fee and all other charges will be due seven days prior to the date of rental. This balance is also nonrefundable once applied seven days before the event.

Food and Beverage Options

Church Street Cellars has an extensive menu of wines, beers, and food that may be provided for your event. We custom plan each party to meet your specific needs and we can pre-plan your specfic food and beverages or offer open bar options, a variety of food buffet options, and more. Wine Tastings and Seminars

Church Street Cellars can provide a variety of wine tastings or seminars for your event, ranging from a brief and casual discussion of the wines being served during the event to an in-depth, focused discussion on a topic of your choosing (i.e. how to taste and evaluate wines, wines of a particular type or region, etc.). Seminars are conducted by our Manager Seth Clarke or the owner Mark Heider. We specialize in providing informative yet unstuffy and unpretentious seminars ensuring that your guests enjoy themselves first and foremost and learn a bit more about wine at the same time.

The Minimum Tab

The minimum tab does not include 8% sales tax (thank Vienna town for that) or gratuity. Gratuity is 18% and will be charged 7 days prior to your event with the remainder of your minimum. On the evening of your event, if you order less than the minimum, we will still charge the minimum. We can keep track of the tab on our computer and close it anytime after you order the minimum. You are welcome to order more than the minimum. If you order less than the minimum during your party, you cannot buy food or wine at retail up to your minimum, nor can the gratuity for the servers or sales tax be used to meet your minimum. We must adhere to these guidelines if we are to continue to offer our business space for private events.

Other Services

We can assist you in arranging other special services to make your event a success. We have established relationships with quality vendors who provide cakes, floral arrangements, and other decorations. We can also assist you in arranging for live music or other entertainment – just ask and we’ll do our best! Reservations We reserve on a first-come-first-served basis. A deposit is required to reserve the room, and your reservation is guaranteed upon receipt of the deposit.
